It’s the happiest place on Earth, and for a few months it could be your home as a Disney College Program participant. Since 1995, Westfield State has partnered with Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Florida to provide students with one of the most unique and rewarding learning experiences in the country. Find out how you can live, learn, and earn at one’s of America’s favorite destinations.

The Disney College Program is an once-in-a-lifetime experience open to Westfield State students. It doesn’t matter what department you are in or whether you are a full-time or part-time student. Applying is easy; you need to be 18 years or older and enrolled as a sophomore or higher with at least a 2.0 GPA. But, you need to get in early if you want to better your chances of acceptance. Apply at least one semester ahead to be considered. Check out how you can apply online.

Once you’ve been accepted, you can choose from a variety of different Disney Education programs to follow and be given a job at one of the many theme parks. There are 20 different roles students can fill at one of the resorts. You could join the hospitality staff, assist the managerial team or you might even find yourself transformed into one of the many beloved Disney characters! No fairy godmother required.

There are plenty of perks to the job, also. You’ll get free admittance to all of the parks, transportation to and from work, and discounted housing located near the resort. Not to mention the on-the-job training that you can carry with you in your future career. You’ll solve real world challenges and develop invaluable problem solving, communication, and networking skills.

The best part? Students get to do all of this while continuing to earn credit through Westfield State with online courses. You’ll also retain your healthcare and financial aid status.

Interning is an integral part of the Westfield State experience. It gives you the opportunity to further you knowledge outside of the classroom and learn more not only about your future career, but also about yourself. So why not spend that time helping to spread the magic that is Disney?
